Symbiosis - Out

After attempting to relinquish authorship and step away from the act of creation, the artist began urgently searching for a new kind of relationship between machine and human — one of collaboration. He established a principle in which one party begins with unconscious or random creation, and the other takes that image as material and basis for further work. This cycle repeats until either side stops or decides to end it. Strictly speaking, this is not collaboration in the usual sense, but rather a process of mutual stimulation, the possibility of reconciliation, and the emergence of new orders.
